I like to think of eyes not so much as windows into the soul, but as windows out. It’s black cruel dark world inside our minds, but the most basic human feelings, the feeling of joy and hope, still manage to burst out in a nebula of color. It’s beautiful and scary and real and that makes it breathtaking.
